We were appointed in 2006 as lead consultant to provide ‘one stop shop’ design services via a “mini competition” for a three phased consolidation of the Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) offices into a single destination.

The works included the refurbishment and expansion of AVDC’s existing office accommodation at Gatehouse Road. This began with a 55,000 square foot office refurbishment followed by a new 10,000 square foot Council debating chamber and 40,000 square foot public services space. A third phase office development provides 40,000 square feet of new office space, management and meeting suite, and a public cafe. The three elements are linked by a “street” / atrium and reception area. The overall project master plan and design gained planning approval following a fruitful consultation process in 2007.

Phase 3 began with a planning submission in September 2010 covering design revisions to the “street” and office block, construction was completed in May 2012. We led the team in providing master base-build design, fit-out, and developing the landscaping design.
