Jumeirah Emirates Tower Hotel is a luxury business hotel located within the Emirates Towers complex in Dubai, UAE. As a luxury property, continuous refurbishments must be made to ensure guest satisfaction, the most recent of which consisted of the lobby lounge and four prestigious luxury suites. The new lobby lounge is spacious and features contemporary fixtures and furnishings. A color scheme of beige, brown and gold are brightened by a curved window wall, which brings natural light into the space. Low tables and plush armchairs confirm a relaxing environment.
The suites are singular in theme, no two the same. Varied color schemes, patterns, and materials were used to achieve each unique experience. The Royal Suite is reminiscent of a Middle Eastern Royalty. Materials such as wedge wood, gold leaf and hand-tufted carpeting, were blended with vernacular design elements like mashrabiyah paneling. The Versace Suite uses branding cues to tie the guestroom theme together. Gold accents and the use of Versace’s colors and patterns create a luxurious experience for guests. The effect produces not just a room, but a physical manifestation of the Versace label. The King Louis Suite is evocative of his period of influence – le Roi-Soleil. Floral patterns (Fleur-de-lis), a monochromatic color scheme, and artwork and accessories from that era, capture the true lavishness of Parisian royalty. The Scandinavian Suite is a direct tribute to its country, though with minor modifications to address climate variances. Materials and colors were executed to reflect Scandinavia but the interior was specifically designed to manage sun exposure within the space. These measures balance the minimalism and subdued palette of one region with the practical considerations of another.
