The Student Complex for Arts and Athletics is a dynamic, creative, and energetic environment that expands the athletics, fine arts and performing arts facilities at Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas. It features a 1,500 seat competition gymnasium, band performance hall, dance studio, and new art studios. The interior design features branded graphics, banners, and memorabilia that celebrate the many athletic and artistic achievements of Bishop Lynch High School along with acknowledging the many donors who have contributed to the success of the school over its 50 year history.
A welcoming outdoor student art courtyard provides the organizational focal point around which the building is designed and serves to link the new addition to the existing building while providing a place of respite and relaxation for students. This new addition not only raises the bar competitively for the school’s athletic and performing arts programs, but also demonstrates the schools commitment in providing unmatched 21st century student learning environments for all future generations at Bishop Lynch High School.
The project is targeting LEED for Schools Gold using a variety of strategies and carefully integrated building systems.
